1. Overview

DialKey ("the App", "we", "us") is a quick-dial shortcut app that lets you assign a short code to a saved contact and call it with one tap. This policy explains what data the App interacts with, what our third-party service providers collect on our behalf, and the choices available to you.

In short: the shortcuts, notes, and contact information you save in DialKey are stored only on your device. We do not operate a server that stores your saved contacts, phone numbers, or notes. The sections below explain the exceptions — namely the analytics and advertising SDKs used to keep the App free and to understand how it's used.

2. Data we do not collect

We do not operate our own backend server, and we do not collect, transmit, or store:

3. Permissions

PermissionWhy the App requests itWhat happens to the data
Contacts (READ_CONTACTS) Lets you pick an existing contact instead of typing a name/number manually Only the single contact you select is read; it is copied into your local shortcut list and is never transmitted off your device

DialKey does not request the phone/call-log permission, camera, microphone, location, or storage-wide access. Calls are placed using Android's standard dial screen (ACTION_DIAL), which requires no special permission — you always confirm the call yourself in your phone's native dialer.

4. Local storage & backups

All shortcuts, contact details, and notes you create are stored in a local database on your device only. If you use the App's Export feature, a JSON backup file is created and handed to your device's native share sheet so you can save or send it wherever you choose (e.g., Google Drive, email, a messaging app). We do not receive, store, or have access to this file at any point. If you use the Import feature, the file is read directly from your device's storage into the App's local database.

5. Analytics — Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the App (e.g., which screens are visited, general interaction patterns) so we can improve it. Clarity may collect technical and usage data such as device/OS information, approximate usage patterns, and interaction events. Microsoft's own documentation describes how Clarity handles data, including options around masking and anonymization.

For details on what Clarity collects and how Microsoft processes it, see Microsoft Clarity's terms and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Advertising partners

DialKey shows ads through the following third-party advertising networks. Each network may independently collect data (such as advertising identifiers and device/usage information) under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

NetworkPrivacy policy
Google AdMob policies.google.com/privacy
Yandex Ads (Yandex Mobile Ads SDK) yandex.com/legal/confidential
AppLovin applovin.com/privacy

Where required (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, the UK, or other jurisdictions with similar consent requirements), the App will present a consent dialog before loading personalized ads, allowing you to accept or reject personalized advertising and manage your choices per partner.

7. Advertising & device identifiers

Our advertising partners may collect your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID) and similar technical identifiers, along with general device and app-usage information, to serve and measure ads and to limit how often you see the same ad. You can reset or limit your advertising ID, and opt out of personalized ads where supported, from your device's settings (on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads / Google → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization, depending on OS version).

8. Children's privacy

DialKey is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Our advertising partners are configured to treat DialKey as not primarily directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and the right to object to certain processing (for example, personalized advertising).

10. Data retention

Shortcuts, contacts, and notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App — we hold no copy. Data collected by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner's own retention policies, linked above.

11. International data transfers

Our analytics and advertising partners may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and, for Yandex Ads, the Russian Federation. Each partner is responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguards for such transfers under applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add a new feature or change service providers. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate (such as an in-app notice).
